Mark your calendars for the 2nd Mississauga Sports Hall of Fame Golf Classic. 2008 Golf Classic Registration Brochure
Make sure to circle Wednesday, June 25, 2008 on your calendar. That’s the day of the second Mississauga Sports Hall of Fame Golf Classic – and it promises to be a whole lot more than just another run-of-the-mill golf outing. It will provide a unique opportunity to include in your foursome an honoured member of the Mississauga Sports Hall of Fame. Proceeds of the event go to support the new interactive Sports Hall of Fame which is under development at the new Sports Complexl. For more details visit our Mississauga Sports Hall of Fame page. The tournament will be at the BraeBen Golf Course (click here for map). BraeBen is a unique golf course, developed through a partnership between the Region of Peel and the City of Mississauga. It was built on what once was the Britannia Landfill site and it has been designed to be "true to the Scottish Highlands". The name is Gaelic for "slope" and "mountain or hill". The public 18 hole Championship Course features dramatic terrain, tall rough grasses, gnarled trees and shrubs, pristine fairways, greens and tees, punctuated with challenging pot bunkers - all reminiscent of golf's early beginnings. As in the highlands of Scotland, wind will be a factor on most days. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. From $250(Hole Sponsor) and up - we've got a package to suit your group while supporting our Mississauga Sports Legacy.
